TBT: 2012 Self-Advocates Conference (Inland Regional)
Time for another throwback!
On June 2 of 2012, Get Safe traveled up to San Bernardino to host the 2012 Self-Advocates Conference at the Inland Regional Center to provide a unique opportunity for persons with developmental disabilities in the area to come together, share ideas and concerns, and develop their collective voice through workshops geared toward creating a successful self-advocacy group. It was a very empowering day; witnessing the growth of these new self-advocates in the matter of hours was amazing!
